At SMOKEY CHEF, we are proud of South Carolina Barbeque, so we take the time to smoke our pork and chicken slowly. Here in the lowcountry, barbeque means pulled pork, never chopped and never pre-sauced. We make our own BBQ rub and 3 great sauces, and we pull each sandwich or plate to order. Our pork, ribs and Smoke-fried chicken are just dusted with our fabulous dry rub. We’ll leave it to you to slather ‘em down with your choice of S.C. Yellow, S.C. Red or Smokin’ Hot Sauce.
Lowcountry food means seafood, too! We offer simple fish, shrimp and crab dishes from our own local waters. We couldn’t get it any fresher if we were out in the boat all day ourselves. Our Shrimp & Grits and She-Crab Soup are from very simple, “un-fooled-around-with” recipes. We think you’ll agree that Beaufort’s seafood doesn’t need much dressing up.
We’ve paired the food with great Mac n’ Cheese, Collards, Okra and Onion Rings, sure to give you some great southern flavor!
Don’t forget our signature Fried Pies for dessert. If you’ve never had one, you’re in for a piping hot treat. They’re almost too good to be for real!
